The SMART chest harness must always be used in combination with a seat harness compliant with the EN 12277/C standard, allowing it to be transformed into a full EN 12277/A harness.

The SMART also allows the chest ascender to be held in place using an adjustable, retractable strap and is equipped with slots for attaching gear holder carabiners.

The seat harness and chest harness are connected via a lark's head extension.
